GeekBench 3 vs Antutu 6, Which one Benchmarks better

These days benchmarking has become the way to measure Smartphones’ or Tablets’ performance. There are various Benchmarking apps to measure system performance, but GeekBench 3 and Antutu both are very popular.
Users have their own opinion about both the Benchmarking Apps, but let’s get to the fact. When Antutu 5 was there, many users agreed on its score, and now when Antutu changed its algorithm to measure performance score after releasing Antutu 6.0, many users started criticizing. We have also seen comments, like “Antutu is a poor way to measure performance.” Is it really true?
What is the major change in Antutu 6 that made the users criticize?
Antutu has started giving more importance to single-core performance compared to multi-core. So it made a major jump in iPhone’s or iPad’s benchmarking. Now the devices that were unable to score even half compared the other high-end smartphone, they can score equal or even more. So we assume that the primary reason for criticism is between iOS and Android fans.
Apple CPUs has always been good in terms of single-core performance, and now a dual-core CPU is able to score more than a deca-core or octa-core CPU.
Thoughts about performance score Apple vs Android Users
Apple users : Single-core performance is important for Mobile Processors because many apps don’t get a chance to use multiple cores. Antutu agrees on this, and this is why they have made these changes.
Android users : Multi-core performance is more important.
Geekbench 3 vs Antutu 6
Geekbench 3 leaves the decision to users because they show the performance score in two parts; single-core and multicore. They don’t reveal overall score. Now it’s up to users what they want; better multi-core or better single-core.
Antutu 6 shows the overall score after the benchmarking test.
Those who think better score in multi-core performance is good
Mediatek Helio X20 is the world’s first chipset that features a 10-core processor, and its Geekbench 3 multi-core score is almost 7000 that no CPU can beat, not even latest Snapdragon 820, Exynos 8890 or Apple A9. Now I would like to ask;
Would you prefer a smartphone with Helio X20 CPU over Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820, because Helio X20 score much better on Geekbench 3 in multi-core performance? And smartphones with Helio X20 costs even 1/3 compared to other high-end model. you can buy 3 smartphones for the money you pay for Snapdragon 820 device, and even save some.
Antutu has benchmark the latest Zopo Speed 8 smartphone that features Helio X20 CPU and 4GB RAM, It made a score lower than Qualcomm’s mid-range CPUs (Snapdragon 650 and 652), and even lower than dual-core Apple A8 CPU. you can check this; Helio X20 vs Snapdragon 652 vs Snapdragon 650 vs Apple A8.
If multi-core had more importance in devices’ performance, Qualcomm wouldn’t have switched from octa-core (Snapdragon810) to quad-core (Snapdragon 820) in the first place. They made octa-core CPUs, but now for mid-range devices.
However, it’s up to users what they want.
