Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini was been rumored to feature a 4.3 inches display and 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, but the rumor turned out completely wrong. Samsung has now released Galaxy J1 Mini in Philippines, a low-end model. It was earlier launched in Bangladesh
Galaxy J1 Mini comes with a 4-inch WVGA display (800 x 480 pixels). It supports dual-SIM and MicroSD card, up to 128GB. However, those looking for a 4G budget phone needs to skip, because it lacks LTE coverage. Users will still be able to enjoy 3G coverage. The device features Plastic body with rounded metal sides/borders. It features 121.6 x 63.1 x 10.8 mm dimension and weighs 120 grams. It will be sold in Black color only.
As far as rest of the tech specs are concerned, Galaxy J1 Mini features a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 0.75GB RAM, 8GB ROM etc.. The camera doesn’t have flash for low light or night photoshoot. The battery is removable, but they have not mentioned its power. It runs Android Lollipop OS. Basic connectivity is there, like Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS etc..
Compared to Galaxy J1, Mini version has 0.5 inches smaller display, no flash, downgraded from camera, 0.25GB less RAM, and rest of specs are almost same.
