There has been rumor that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 would be running at 3.0 GHz clock speed, but the company cleared the air now. It can reach the maximum speed of 2.2 GHz only, but this would be the most innovative and faster Mobile Chip Qualcomm has ever made.
Compared to Snapdragon 810, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 would be twice faster and power efficient. So your device would use less battery power along with great speed. What makes it more faster is the ability to combine different cores of the chip, like CPU, GPU and DSP rather than using the same core for multiple tasks.
Snapdragon 820 is based on Qualcomm’s Kryo technology that features custom designed quad-core 64-bit chip. Kryo CPU is prepared with 14nm FinFET technology, and can reach the maximum speed of 2.2 GHz. Snapdragon 820 will be combined with Adreno 530 GPU, that will boost graphic performance by 40% compared to Adreno 430.
