Samsung Galaxy S7 is one of the most awaited smartphone that would arrive to compete iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Samsung Galaxy S7 has been rumored to arrive in early 2016 with two different SoC; Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 for the United States and China, and Exynos for the rest of countries (Probably Exynos 8890), Reuter reported.
This the not the first time Samsung would would do that, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note 3 was also launched in two different version, and there are more examples. However, we believe that Samsung Galaxy S7 with Exynos 8890 would be more powerful compared to Snapdragon 820 in terms of performance (not GPU). Samsung and Qualcomm both are optimizing there chips, and you can check the benchmark score of both chips to compare;
There is one more thing that we would like to share. A smartphone with Samsung Lucky-LTE code name with Exynos 8890 SoC was spotted on Geekbench 3 a couple of times, and the same model showed up with Snapdragon 820 on Antutu. The one with Snapdragon chip features a 5.7 inches QHD display, and we don’t think Galaxy S7 would be that bigger, may be Galaxy S7 edge+ or Galaxy S7 Plus. Lucky-LTE model with Exynos 8890 showed up on Geekbench with 4GB as well as 3GB RAM. So this suggest that Samsung Galaxy S7 may still have the same 3GB RAM like its predecessor, and Samsung may launch another larger version with 4GB RAM like they did this year.
Samsung is the only company that is compared with Apple, and users don’t bother that much about rest of the devices. Apple A9 in new iPhone 6s and iPhones 6s plus performs much better than we expected. It’s benchmarking score also touches Exynos 7420 in multi-core, and single-core performance is unbeatable.
Apart from better performance and benchmarking, we expect Samsung Galaxy S7 to feature faster storage, powerful battery, water resistant and better camera compared to existing Galaxy devices. The removable battery will not be there for sure to maintain the design as Samsung has already confirmed, and Samsung could add expandable storage option this time. How about the force touch? Huawei has opted this technology, and Samsung may also add it in Galaxy S7 display.
These days dual-lens camera is in trend, and the recent rumor suggest that Samsung will also incorporate dual-lens in its Galaxy S7. Most of devices have either front dual-lens or rear. Samsung could make difference if they come up with front and rear dual-lens. Latest Samsung galaxy devices already feature the best camera in the industry and the Galaxy S7 could destroy all the devices in terms of camera. Let’s see what Samsung has to give this time.
