Apple talked much about iPhone 6s and iOS 9 features, but didn’t say anything about the processor and RAM. They just mentioned A9 chip to be much faster compared to A8. We also found comments on many social networks and blogs that so many users are ready to upgrade if iPhone 6s and 6s plus features 2GB RAM. Some of the users wants to upgrade for Camera, live photos and 3D touch, regardless whatever the RAM is.
Apple A9 Chip Specifications
Well, the rumor seems to be true about 2GB RAM. A new iPhone has been spotted on Geekbench 3 as iPhone 8,2. It is running on iOS 9, and features 2GB RAM and 1.82 GHz Processor.
Still thinking about “cores” in Apple A9 chip? It’s not a quad-core processor as it was rumored. iPhone 6s has already passed certification in China, and the certification detail was posted on Tenaa. It shows 1.8 GHz SoC like Geekbench 3 and 2 cores. I already mentioned it to be a dual-core processor after seeing the Apple A9 Benchmark. If a single core performance score is 2090, quad-core performance can never be as low as 3569.
Well, Apple A8 chip with 1.4 GHz and 1GB RAM still works fine, and A9 chip with 1.8 GHz processor and 2GB RAM would really perform far better.
What do you think about Apple A9 chip specifications? Is it good enough or really wanted to see quad-core processor inside?
