Apple A9 Benchmark test done by Antutu showed it to be the best chip so far. iPhone 6s Speed test done against Galaxy S6 and some other smartphones also proved that iPhone 6s is the fastest smartphone at present. However, it doesn’t mean it will remain the best forever. Some other chips will be faster, and again Apple will make something better and so on…. It is not going to stop.
Apple A9X vs A9 vs Exynos 8890 vs Snapdragon 820 Geekbench Benchmark
Well, The recent leak coming from SlashGear shows a comparative view of benchmark scores based on previous leaks. What they showed is not something new, but they put it together for battery comparison. Galaxy S7 Benchmark Score with snapdragon 820 was amazing, it scored 2456 in single core and 5423 in multi-core. We already know Apple A9 Benchmark / Apple A9X Benchmark Score as the devices are already official. Exynos 8890 Benchmark score was leaked as well that reached 2294 in single-core performance and 6908 in multi-core performance.
Samsung is working closely with Qualcomm to make Galaxy S7 a great device, especially to boost single-core performance. For a smartphone, single-core performance has more importance compared to multi-core. Snapdragon 820 in Galaxy S7 may score as much as Apple A9 does, but Exynos 8890 still seems behind. Exynos 8890 tops in terms of multi-core, but Snapdragon 820 would still perform better due to its powerful single core performance.
Note : These benchmark scores for Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890 are based on leaks or sample model test. Real life score may be different once they are officially released. So don’t take these scores for granted.

To say single core is best for smartphones is ridiculous. Only because Apple does well in single core? Also, iPhone 6s isn’t faster than S6. Sometimes the 6s is faster and sometimes the GS6. This site is biased as he’ll.
