Blackberry knows well what the phones are going through, but the company does not give up. The last effort to achieve the much desired stability and regain a voice in the smartphone market is called Blackberry Leap, and it is a full touch system. You can imagine about a Z10, but updated form.
The device has already been published in the catalog of the Blackberry website. It is a compelling midrange smartphone, but its success will depend a lot on money.
Leap Blackberry begins with a fairly neutral and consistent design with the spirit “Business” of the company. The thickness of 9.5 mm is not exactly striking when compared with Android with which it has to compete, but anything is possible. This device has 5-inch screen and 1280 x 720 pixel resolution (294 dpi). Under the hood we find a Qualcomm 1.5GHz Snapdragon MSM 8960 to the Krait series. It is a solid chip, but definitely stale. The same, incidentally, that the BlackBerry Classic.
It’s accompanying the processor 2GB of RAM and of 16GB internal storage plus expandable 128GB storage via MicroSD. The main chamber is 8Mpx, while the front is 2, ensures BlackBerry 2800 mAh battery lasts up to 25 hours of intensive.
The big question of Leap that customers will arise, is price. According to internal company sources consulted by Re / Code, it will be $ 275. It’s confirmed, that the Leap could mean the return of the company to the field, albeit discreetly. Competition in the midrange is stronger than ever but BlackBerry still has its enthusiasts.
