Gmail is a very popular free email service provider, but there may be a time when you want to delete your Gmail Account Permanently. Someone may want to delete Gmail account due to various reasons like you have another Gmail Account, You have started using your work email or email from some other service provider. Whatever the reason is, we will tell you how you can delete your Gmail Account.
How to Delete a Gmail Account Permanently
- Visit Gmail.Com, and log in with your Gmail ID and Password
- Once logged in, click on your profile icon, and then select My Account option
- You will find some highlighted options in the next page, click “Delete your account or Services”
- Now Select “Delete Products” option in the next page
- In the next page, you will see a couple of options. Select Gmail Option from there
- Now you will be taken to a warning page to inform the consequences of Deleting Gmail Account. Read those details carefully to avoid any trouble in the future. Deleting Gmail may stop you accessing some other services
- Confirm that you want to delete your Gmail account permanently by checking the option Yes, I Want to …
- You will see your recovery email address as New Primary Email Address, and this will become your primary email address to access other services that you have with Google
- Enter your Gmail account Password
- Hit Remove Gmail option

How to delete your Google Account and its data permanently
Instead of deleting your Gmail Account, you can also choose to delete whole Google account. Follow these steps if you want to do that;
- Visit your Google Account Page
- You may need to enter Google ID and Password if you are not already logged in
- Now select “Delete your account or services” (the same option we selected to delete Gmail Account)
- Hit Delete Google Account and data on the next page
- In the next page, you will be informed the consequence of account deletion. Read them carefully, and accept the terms, and then hit Delete Account
