Net Banking or online banking is very popular around the world. It saves our time, and from hassle of going Bank, filling form and waiting in queue and so on.. Along with that, there are banks that offer reward points for each transaction you make. That reward points can be redeemed later to get some useful stuffs or entertainment/shopping coupons. Most of the net Banking in India uses 2 way verification for any transaction. If you add any new Payee or make Payment to someone or for credit card, One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number. The transaction can not be completed until you put the OTP there. However, some transactions don’t required OTP if you often make them (Not Applicable for all Banks)
These days almost all Banks have Net Banking facility available in India. Some are pre-enabled, and some needs to be requested separately while opening the Bank Account or it can be applied later. Most of the Government Bank in India has little complicated procedure, and they take little longer to enable Net Banking option for your account. Government Banks may ask you if you want Net Banking just to view the transaction or to make transaction as well, that is kind of a stupid question. Government Bank also don’t help via emails. For each and every request or issue, you need to visit their Branch. However, Private Banks in India are very co-operative, and their services are excellent. We can’t say about all of the Bank but tested HSBC, Standard Chartered, AXIS Bank, Citi Bank etc..
