Update (6 Feb)
Some users believe that iPhone 5SE will carry almost the same design iPhone 5S does. However, various leaks suggest otherwise. iPhone 5SE may feature almost the same design as iPhone 6 or 6s does.
Along with Silver, Space Grey and Gold Color, iPhone 5SE may also arrive in Pink color, rather bright pink, Apple Insider reported. This color would certainly attract female users.
There are many users who have not upgraded to latest iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. There could be three reasons behind this;
- Users are using iPhone 6 or 6 plus and don’t want to buy a phone that looks exactly the same
- Users want a compact design, and still sticking to iPhone 5C
- Users want a cheaper iPhone
If iPhone 5SE features the same design, it won’t resolve the reason 1, but the rest two will be solved. Eventually, it will help Apple to sale more smartphones.
Update ends
A new 4-inch iPhone model has been in rumor for so long, and we expected an iPhone 6c from Apple. However, the latest rumor suggests that Apple will launch an upgraded variant of iPhone 5S keeping the same display size. Like newer version, iPhone 5SE would also feature NFC and Voice Over LTE.
It is being reported by MIC Gadget that Foxconn insider has leaked the first demo model of iPhone 5SE. According to leak, iPhone 5SE will go for mass production next week, and it would be priced at between $500 to $600 depending on the model you buy. It would be available in two variant; 16GB with 1GB RAM and 64GB with 1.2GB RAM.
Like iPhone 6, iPhone 5SE would also be available in 3 colors; Silver, Gold and Space Gray. We have not heard of anything about Rose Gold variant. As you can see in the video, iPhone 5SE looks like iPhone 6s or iPhone 6, but smaller in size.
As far as Processor is concerned, Apple would use downgraded variant of Apple A9 chip with lesser clock speed. We expect iPhone 5SE to feature 640 x 1136 pixels resolution, 8-megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front camera, and of course it would run iOS 9.x.
