Meizu Pro 6 vs Xiaomi Mi 5
Design
Meizu Pro 6 features a familiar design that we have already seen in many smartphones, but you still get full metal body. Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with metal borders, and 3D Glass body. It matches Galaxy S7 design to the some extent.
Meizu Pro 6 vs Mi 5
Dimension : 147.7 x 70.8 x 7.25 mm vs 144.55 x 69.2 x 7.25 mm
Weight : 160 grams vs 129 grams
Screen-to-body ratio : 71.6 % vs 73.1 %
Xiaomi Mi 5 is light weight and more attractive smartphone as far as design in concerned. Mi 5 is winner here.
Display
Meizu Pro 6 : 5.2-inch, Super AMOLED, 1920 x 1080 pixels, Gorilla Glass 3, 3D Pressure Touch
Xiaomi Mi 5 : 5.15-inch, IPS, 1920 x 1080 pixels, Gorilla Glass 4
There is so much discrepancy regarding AMOLED and IPS display. Both have good as well as down sides, so it’s hard to say which one is the best. If you don’t mind 0.5-inch smaller display, Mi 5 comes with 4th generation of Gorilla Glass protection where Meizu has still used Gorilla Glass 3. Meizu may still attract more users, because of the pressure touch display.
Processor and OS
Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with the latest Snapdragon 820 CPU that is the best CPU so far you can find in any Android Smartphone. Meizu has used Mediatek Helio X25 CPU that is slightly upgraded version of Helio X10. Both are smooth in terms of performance, but when we talk about the best CPU as well GPU performance, Meizu Pro 6 with Helio X25 can’t beat Snapdragon 820 in Mi 5.

Please understand that Single-core performance has more importance in device performance compared to multi-more, and this is why Meizu Pro 6 doesn’t score even 100K on Antutu Benchmark, and the devices with Snapdragon 820 score over 123K. The Graphic Performance of Snapdragon 820 is much better compared to Helio X20 or X25.

Which one should you buy?
If you really need more RAM and Storage, there is no point buying Meizu Pro 6. Get Mi 5 with 128GB Storage and 4GB RAM, and its a premium version with 3D Ceramic Back Glass Cover. You will get the best thing at the best price. Meizu Pro 5 was really good device at that time with great power. There is nothing to give even a second thought while choosing Mi 5 over Meizu pro 6. Even the model with 3GB RAM is better, 3GB RAM is enough for a smartphone. RAM is not everything, else I would have told you to wait for Vernee Apollo to get with 6GB RAM.
