How to Use Voice Commands for Symbols and Punctuation
- Click Start and allow Mic, start speaking to write. Click Stop to stop anytime.
- Click Proofread to fix your grammar, sentence and punctuation error.
- Test and Adjust: If the symbol doesn’t appear, check the recognized command list and try again. Sometimes, certain accents or pronunciations may require a bit of practice.
- Speak Clearly: Ensure you speak at a natural pace and maintain clarity. A well-articulated command helps your voice recognition tool understand what you need.
- Pause Briefly: After finishing your word or sentence, pause slightly before saying the symbol command. This short break can help the system distinguish between regular text and a command.
- Exact Phrase: Use the exact phrase as listed. For instance, if you need a period, say “period” rather than “dot” (unless “dot” is also listed as a recognized command). Check the full list below.
