Xiaomi has started producing more and more smartphones. This Chinese company announced Redmi 3 a couple of days ago, and now Redmi Note 3 Pro has been announced. Just to remind that Existing Redmi Note 3 was launched in November 2015 with Mediatek Helio X10 SoC, and now its Pro version has arrived.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro features a 5.5 inches display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, Snapdragon 650 Hexa-core 1.8 GHz CPU (dual-core A72+dual-core A53) , Adreno 510 GPU, 2GB RAM with 16GB ROM or 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM, 16-megapixel rear camera with Dual Image Sensor Processor, 5-megapixel front shooter, 4050 mAh battery, Finger Print Sensor etc..
Redmi Note 3 Pro’s Adreno 510 GPU supports DirectX 12 and OpenGL ES 3.1, and for faster data, it is equipped with X8 LTE Cat 7. You can also enjoy Voice over LTE. Like its predecessor, it also supports dual-SIM, but now with 4G+ network support. They claim it to be twice faster compared to normal 4G.

2GB RAM + 16GB ROM : 999 Chinese Yuan (around $152)
3GB RAM + 32GB ROM : 1199 (around $182)
Upgradable with MicroSD Card, up to 128GB
They will start selling Redmi Note 3 Pro from 10AM onwards, January 17 (Sunday). It can be ordered from Xiaomi’s official online store in China.

Redmi Note 3 Pro Antutu Benchmark
According to Antutu’s official Weibo page, Snapdragon 650 Antutu benchmark score is 78979, so you can expect the same from Redmi Note 3 Pro. It is better than Snapdragon 808 and Helio X10. So Redmi Note 3 Pro is a real Pro.

Those who have already bought Redmi Note 3 with Helio X10 must be thinking that they should’ve waited little longer. However, there would always be something better that you will miss. It’s better to stick to existing Redmi Note 3 if you have already got one and wait for Xiaomi Mi 5 that has been confirmed to arrive with Snapdragon 820 SoC.

Correction: The existing Redmi Note 3 has a Helio X10 and not X20 as you wrote.

One other big change with ‘Pro’ model is that it supports Micro SD card (albeit on the 2nd sim slot) which the non-pro doesn’t,

Yes that’s a biggie. I would never buy a smart phone without expandable storage. I don’t know why XIaomi left that out in Redmi Note 3, but it’s good thing they added it back on Redmi Note 3 pro.
