Samsung has unveiled its new flagship, the Galaxy S5, at Mobile World Congress (MCW) 2014 in Barcelona, which will go on sale in April. This smartphone has a Full HD 5.1-inches screen, a 16-megapixel front camera and a quad-core processor 2.25GHz. President, director of IT and mobile communication division of Samsung “JK Shin” said that Samsung is focusing on delivering the skills that matter most to our customers.
In terms of memory, Samsung Galaxy S5 has 2GB RAM and an internal storage of 16GB or 32GB, although in both cases there are expandable memory card slot which supports up to 64 GB. Galaxy S5 features a 16 megapixel rear camera and a front 2.21 megapixel, and there is rumor as well, which is still not clear that the phone is dust and water resistant. The new flagship of this South Korean company has 802.11 WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and USB 3.0 connection, and in addition, the new device has infrared connectivity allowing control televisions and stereos.
One of the most anticipated features is the fingerprint reader, but also incorporates other sensors such as pulse rate monitor. This new ‘smartphone‘ between its components brings a barometer, a light sensor that adjusts the screen brightness automatically, a compass, a proximity sensor, an accelerometer and a gyroscope. The Galaxy S5 is also focusing on physical activity and Health 3.0 has the feature installed, and also has other features such as ultra energy saving settings Changing screen color to black and white to save the maximum possible battery. The battery is 2800 mAh, which gives the S5 an autonomy of 390 hours standby and 21 hours talk time, while its dimensions are 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm and weighs 145 grams. The ‘smartphone‘ is available in black, blue, brown and white, and this model is expected to be launched in April 2014, but the price is still unknown.
