Samsung is due to launch its high-end smartphones soon, and we already know many things about the upcoming Galaxy devices. Samsung has also been rumored to skip Edge+ model this year, and the normal Galaxy S7 Edge would arrive in Galaxy Edge+ size. You must be curious to know when these models would arrive.
According to the latest leak coming from @evleaks, Samsung would hold an event on February 21 to launch new Galaxy Models. So this is when they are expected to announce Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. They also posted a leaked on image of invitation that you can see below.
Various leaks have shown Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge following the design of its predecessor. However, there may be few changes as rumors can’t be taken for granted.
In terms of technical specifications, Galaxy S7 Edge Tech Specs was leaked in full, and it showed up with a 5.7 inches 2K display, 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 Application Processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 12.2MP rear and 5MP front camera. Galaxy S7 tech specs would also remain the same except the display size and battery. Galaxy S7 is expected to feature a 5.1 inches 2K Display, and battery will certainly be smaller compared to S7 Edge. However, both the models would also be available with Exynos 8890 chipset. The camera pixel is also less compared to Galaxy S6 series devices, but the newer models have been rumored to feature larger lens or dual rear camera.
As far as benchmark score is concerned, new Galaxy Models have been spotted a couple of times on Geekbench 3. Canadian variant of Galaxy S7 Benchmark score was not quite impressive, as it scored 1873 in single-core and 5946 in multi-core performance. However, Galaxy S7 with Snapdragon 820 is rumored to score very well. Samsung is expected to optimize Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890 is such way that the benchmark score doesn’t make so much difference for the same model, but with two different chip.
