Ever wondered if there is a company out there that doesn’t aim to rip you off in fees every time you sell a device? Meet SwitchGads! They’re a marketplace for buying or selling your mobile devices or apple laptops. They aim to set that bar high. They offer $0 selling fees when you sell a device, which is a big deal.
Take eBay for example (see here), I searched for an iPhone 6S in 64GB and found a seller that sold 180 units at $650 each. That is $65 in final value fees they charge for each device sold. $65 times 180 units equals $11,700.00 in fees that seller had to pay eBay.
Aside from saving you a boatload of capital, they make it easy to search for listings state by state. If you’re not to fond of the price the seller has up, they incorporated a make an offer button to make it easier to send the seller your best price. Another cool feature is unboxing videos highlighted under the specs tab. While you decide, you can watch a quick video of the device without navigating away from the page.
Do you have an Apple laptop you want to sell? List it on SwitchGads. Now there is a better alternative to selling it and keeping more money in your pocket with no seller fees! However, buyers need to pay $5 as Purchasing fee that is non-refundable. If you buy frequently or resale the gadgets, you can pay a fixed amount for whole year and make unlimited purchases. Currently they are running a limited time offer where you can pay $90 for one year to get unlimited access as a buyer. Selling is completely free.
They also check each IMEI/ESN number for each mobile device that is listed to make sure it’s not a lost/stolen phone. So considering the job they do, $5 seems to be fair charge for buyers. Do you have eBay feedback that you’ve built up through the years? You can definitely import it to go along side with your SwitchGads feedback so potential buyers will know your history.
Another strong case they make is the avoidance of meeting up. To many horror stories of people getting mugged or killed during a craigslist meet up (see here). There is no need to risk your life for electronics. Keep it safe and use SwitchGads. Also keeps a paper trail on your purchases and are protected by PayPal since that is the payment method of choice on the site.
