Snapdragon 820 Single Core Benchmark reaches 2300

Qualcomm recently gave the full detail on Snapdragon 820, but they didn’t mention when smartphones with Snapdragon 820 will hit the stores. It was rumored that Qualcomm is dealing with the heat issue, and optimizing Snapdragon 820 to perform better, especially in single-core performance.
Snapdragon 820 is a high-end upcoming Chip from Qualcomm, and its benchmark score has been leaked so many times in the past. Snapdragon 820 benchmark leak was surprising for its V3 version, as its single-core score surprisingly jumped from 1732 to 2032. However, the latest one is more surprising.
A reliable Chinese Leakster, Leaksfly reported that Snapdragon 820 scored more than 2300 in single-core performance (GeekBench 3), that is quite close to Apple A9 benchmark, but the real life test may have a different figure. He expects the first device with Snapdragon 820 to arrive in January 2016. Leaksfly also mentioned that Samsung Galaxy S7 scored 103692, but this one was tested with Exynos 8890 chipset.
We will see so many high-end smartphones in early 2016 those will feature Snapdragon 820 Chipset. Xiaomi Mi 5 will also have the same chipset that is expected to arrive in February 2016, Samsung Galaxy S7 will arrive in two variant; One with Snapdragon 820, and the other with Exynos 8890. Snapdragon 820 will compete with Apple A9, Exynos 8890, Nvidia Tegra X1, Mediatek Helio X20 and Kirin 950.
