If you have been waiting for Android 5.1 update for Galaxy Note Edge, it could be a good news for you. Sprint’s has released Android 5.1 update yesterday for Galaxy Note Edge users. The update is Over-The-Air (OTA), so you should receive notification or you can check it manually from your smartphone’s settings.
The update will be released in stages, and can take several days to reach all users. Once you get the update notification, you can follow the screen and update your device. Make sure your device is charges enough to avoid any bug in case device gets switched off during the update.
Sprint has not mentioned much about the new things that update brings, except “Various Bug Fixes and Enhancements.” Once your Galaxy Note Edge is updated to Android 5.1, the software version should show as N915PVPU4COFE.
If you are not Sprint subscriber, you may have to wait little longer to receive the update. There is no surety that all Galaxy Note 4 Edge will received Android 5.1 update. If Sprint has received the update, other carriers and international version should also receive.
