Apple has already announced iPhone SE, and many users are excited to buy. New 4-inch iPhone comes with great specs and lesser price tag. iPhone SE features Apple A9 Chip, 16GB/64GB Storage, 12-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front camera, 4-inch Display etc.. However, there are specs/features Apple didn’t tell about iPhone.
First Generation Touch ID
Even with Apple A9 CPU iPhone 6s-like Specs, Apple has still used First Generation Touch ID with iPhone SE. Newer iPhone 6s and 6s Plus features second generation Touch ID. Touch ID in iPhone SE would be little slower compared to iPhone 6s.
Downgraded Front Camera
iPhone SE do features a great 12-megapixel rear camera that can even record 4K video. However, Apple has downgraded front camera. iPhone SE front camera would probably capture selfie of the quality of iPhone 5 (not even iPhone 5S). iPhone 5 and iPhone SE both features 1.2 megapixel front shooter with f/2.4 Aperture. The good thing in iPhone SE is the Retina Flash that will help you to capture photos even in the dark or low light.
First Generation Display
iPhone 6s and 6s plus features a next-generation display, but iPhone SE comes with the older display technology. Lack of Taptic Engine that sends feedback to the user, for example it vibrates to alert user, and the user can understand that some is happening on the device, and he/she can check.
Lack of Display Zoom and Reachability feature
Display Zoom and reachability function is not available in iPhone SE. Display Zoom helps to set the screen is zoomed mode. It increase the readability for those with vision problem. Reachability is the function that shortens the application window by tapping twice on Home Button to let you use iPhone with one hand.
Lack of Dual-domain pixels for Wide Viewing Angle
Dual-domain pixels in iPhone helps display to show more accurate color even with Wide Viewing Angles. iPhone SE do features Retina Display with 1136 x 640 pixels resolution, but the display may not give you the experience like iPhone 6s.
Downgraded LTE and Slower WiFi
iPhone 6s and 6s Plus comes with Advanced LTE and MIMO with WiFi. It significantly increased the internet Speed in newer iPhones compared to predecessor. However, Apple has used older LTE/WiFi chip in iPhone SE. So you would probably get the internet speed like iPhone 6 (not 6s). iClarified has done a test for WiFi speed between iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, you can watch the video to understand.
iPhone SE Battery Life is better than iPhone 6s
While using internet, iPhone SE battery will run longer compared to iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. iPhone SE beats iPhone 6s even in Video Playback time.
No Barometer Sensor
iPhone SE lacks Barometer Sensor. So what does Barometer really does ? Barometer sensor in smartphone can measure atmospheric pressure. It measures how high your device is above sea level. Barometer sensor helps GPS chip in delivering altitude data to improve GPS accuracy.
2GB RAM for iPhone SE
iPhone SE features Apple A9 chip, but Apple didn’t mention anything about RAM. According to Antutu Benchmark Report, iPhone SE features 2GB RAM.

How is lack of Reachability a problem? Apple introduced that for its larger phones as a way to make it easier to use one-handed, as you literally say in your article. The whole point of the SE is that it easy to use one-handed. Are you trying to write an informative article or just criticise Apple even when it’s non-sensical to do so?
