Verizon Moto X 2nd Gen receives Android 5.1 Lollipop Update

Finally Verizon brought Android 5.1 Lollipop update for Moto X 2nd Gen (2014 Model). The update is Over-The-Air (OTA), so you should receive a notification on your device. If you have not received any update notification, it should be on the way. However, you can also check it manually from your smartphone’s settings.
The update bring some changes to the device, among them Factory Reset Option security is the most important update that will make your phone secure from theft and unauthorized usage. After the update, Moto X 2nd Gen cannot be unlocked until you provide Google account credential. You can’t even Reset the device to Factory setting without putting your Google Account Password. To make use of this feature, you must provide your Google Account Credential to your smartphone.
The update also brings improved User Interface, New Interruption Controls and a new Notification Volume Control Access.
