Xiaomi Mi Mix EVO With Snapdragon 835 Appeared on GeekBench Benchmark

After many rumors about bezel-less smartphones, Xiaomi became the first brand to launch a real Smartphones with an edge-to-edge screen. To make it more attractive, Xiaomi placed the front camera on the bottom. It was actually a prototype phone that was produced in limited quantity, but the device was sold like hot cakes. After the successful sale, Xiaomi also launched this model in white color.
Xiaomi Mi Mix was launched with Snapdragon 821 CPU, and now Mi Mix EVO showed up on Geekbench benchmark with Snapdragon 835 CPU. This is the first Xiaomi smartphone that appeared on the benchmark with the latest Qualcomm’s high-end CPU. SD 835 is clocked at 1.9 GHz that is an octa-core processor and device is running Android 6.0.1 OS. Xiaomi is still testing the model, so we expect the device to arrive with MIUI 9 (based on Android 7.x) out of the box. Mi Mix EVO version would feature 4GB RAM as shown in the benchmark report. 6GB Version may also be launched as the Mi Mix is also available in 2 versions; one with 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM and another with 6GB RAM and 256GB ROM.

We don’t know rest of the specs yet, but Xiaomi may reduce the screen size this time and upgrade cameras. Snapdragon 835 is the upgraded version of Snapdragon 821 and the benchmark score shows enough improvement. However, the single-core score of Snapdragon 835 is lower than expectation, but it scored higher than expectation in multi-core.
