Xiaomi Mi 5s vs Mi 5s Plus
Design & Color
Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus both feature full metal body design, and they are available in various colors. Mi 5s features 145.6 X 70.3 X 8.25 mm dimension and weighs 145 grams, compared to 168 grams weight and 154.6 X 77.7 X 7.95 mm dimension in Mi 5s Plus. Both the models have rounded edges on the back, and Antenna line on the top and bottom that we have already seen on many devices. The design looks fair, but there isn’t really anything new in terms of design. These days most of the Smartphone manufacturers fail to innovate new design.
Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus both will be sold in 4 colors; Gold, Gray, Silver and Rose Gold.
Here are images of Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus in all colors.
Display
Xiaomi Mi 5s : 5.15-inch, 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, 428 PPI, 600nit brightness, 1500: 1 contrast ratio, 94.4% NTSC color gamut.
Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus : 5.7-inch, 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, 386 PPI, 550nit brightness, 1300: 1 contrast ratio, 94% NTSC color gamut.
The display is one of the features where Xiaomi missed to improve in its Mi 5s Plus version. According to specs, Xiaomi Mi 5s will certainly have a better (sharp) screen quality as it’s getting more pixels per inch, because of the smaller display. Xiaomi got its hands in 2K display with Mi Note Pro, but it seems they didn’t like it ?. Now they keep making the high-end models with FullHD display whether they are small compact or a phablet.

Finger Print Scanner
Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus both feature a Finger Print Scanner, but if you are looking for something new and unique, you should get Xiaomi Mi 5s. Xiaomi was rumored to launch Mi 5 with Ultrasonic Finger Tech, but Xiaomi couldn’t do so. However, Xiaomi did it with Mi 5s but left Mi 5s Plus with the same boring Finger Print Scanner on its back panel. Xiaomi Mi 5s features a Finger Print Scanner that is incorporated in its glass itself. Xiaomi hasn’t cut the hole to give a physical home button to use as Finger Print Scanner.
